FELICIAN'S ALBANO VOTED ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College sophomore Rob Albano (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Township) has been voted to the Capital One Academic All-District Men’s Track & Field/Cross-Country Second Team for the College Division in District II, as coordinated and selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Albano carries a 3.79 grade-point average as an elementary education major. He led Felician to the 2010 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s cross-country team title, finishing third overall in the CACC Championship race with an 8,000-meter time of 27 minutes, 21 seconds. He was a three-time CACC Runner of the Week, including after winning the Philly Metro Small College Invitational on Sept. 25, and was both an all-conference and academic all-conference honoree.
Albano has been chosen CACC Runner of the Week seven times in his career. He is the school-record holder for 8,000 meters, running a 25:54 at NYIT as a freshman. He is the fifth athlete in the 15-year history of Felician athletics, and the first in the sport of cross-country, to be named CoSIDA Academic All-District.
CoSIDA’s District II is comprised of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The College Division consists of all non-Division I institutions.
