Courtesy of Kelly-Ann DiGiulio, Dominican SID Orangeburg, NY - Dominican College Director of Athletics, Joe Clinton, has announced the hiring of Abdias Suero as the new Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Coach. "We are very excited to have Abdias take over the cross country and track and field programs," Clinton said. "I believe he is the ideal candidate that can mold both these programs into elite Division II teams." Suero comes to Dominican after spending last year as an assistant coach for the track and field program at Mercy College. Prior to that the was the Head Coach of the Boys Cross Country and Track and Field teams at Christopher Columbus High School and the Head Coach at George Washington High School. A graduate of the Pratt Institute, he went on to receive his Doctor in Medicine degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and his certificate in Physical Education from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena Santa Domingo. Suero currently is a Physical Education teacher at Christopher Columbus High School. |
