RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Recent high-school graduates Tonia Ford (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) and Micki Keltos (Shelton, CT/St. Joseph) have signed athletic financial aid agreements to continue their women's volleyball careers at Felician College, Golden Falcon head coach Amber Butler announced today.
Ford, a 5-foot-10 middle hitter, participated in volleyball, fencing, and softball at Bayonne High. She also played for new Felician assistant Justin Beaumont with the Lady Chargers Volleyball Academy. She intends to major in accounting at Felician.
The 5-foot-8 Keltos was a two-time all-league outside hitter at St. Joseph of Trumbull. Earlier this summer, she signed a national letter of intent to play softball at Felician, after a two-time all-state career in that sport for the Cadets. Keltos expects to study pre-psychiatric rebabilitation.
Felician, a member of NCAA Division II, competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Golden Falcons finished seventh in the CACC North Division in 2010 and were 5-24 overall.
