CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College juniors Susan McDonough (Saline, MI/Saline) and Amber Mosher (Flanders, NJ/Mt. Olive) were honored as the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its NCAA Division II all-East Region team today. McDonough, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year, was chosen to the 14-player all-Region squad, while Mosher received all-Region honorable mention.

This is the first time Caldwell has had players included on the AVCA all-Region team, which is selected by a panel of coaches from the East Region. The East Region consists of institutions from the CACC, the Northeast-10 Conference and the East Coast Conference.

McDonough, who also made the Daktronics all-Region second team as well as the all-CACC first team, led the CACC in kills per set (3.79) while ranking seventh in hitting percentage at .227. An excellent all-around player, she also averaged 3.94 digs per set to rank seventh in the league. This season she has recorded 18 double-doubles (kills-digs) while notching 10 or more kills 24 times and 10 or more digs 23 times. A four-time CACC Player of the Week honoree this season, McDonough led the Cougars to their second consecutive CACC championship by averaging 4.36 kills and 4.36 digs per set in three CACC Tournament matches. She was named the CACC Tournament's Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row.

Mosher joined McDonough on the all-CACC first team for the third time in her career after ranking third in the CACC in hitting percentage (.271), ninth in kills per set (2.64) and 13th in blocks per set (0.54) this season. A dominating hitter from the right side, Mosher received CACC Player of the Week honors on Oct. 24 after leading Caldwell to a pair of CACC victories. This season she tallied 10 or more kills 10 times, including 19 kills at Dominican College on Oct. 4 to match her career high. 

The Cougars finished the season 26-5 and advanced to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament for the second year in a row.
