SIX CACC VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS EARN DAKTRONICS ALL-REGION ACCOLADES

NEW HAVEN, CT - Six volleyball players from Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) institutions have earned Daktronics All-Region accolades. The All-Region team was voted upon by Sports Information Directors throughout the East Region. The East Region includes the CACC, the Northeast 10 Conference and the East Coast Conference.

First team selections include Philadelphia University's Celena Rendon and Georgian Court University's Janelle Murdock and Stephanie Rivera. GCU's Lisamary Figueroa was named to the second team, along with Holy Family University's Jordan Beland and Caldwell College's Titilola Alao.

Rendon, a senior outside hitter from San Antonio, TX, was the 2009 CACC Player of the Year. She helped the Lady Rams advance to the CACC Tournament Championship match. Murdock, Rivera and Beland were first team All-CACC selections, while Figueroa and Alao earned second team All-CACC distinction.

Rivera is the only student-athlete from the CACC to earn All-Region honors in back-to-back years, as she was a second team pick in 2008.
