BLAUVELT, NY - Dominican College Director of Athletics, Joseph Clinton, has announced the resignation of Head Women's Volleyball Coach, Jessica Schweitzer, effective immediately.

"It is with mixed emotions that I resign as head coach," Schweitzer said. "But due to increased family demands, I will not be able to continue coaching at this time."

Schweitzer has been at the helm of the Lady Chargers for the past six seasons, guiding the team to three straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Semi-Final Appearances in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

"It has been my genuine pleasure to represent not only Dominican College, but women's athletics in general over the last six years," said Schweitzer. "I have enjoyed my tenure at DC and wish the program success in the future."

"Jessica has been a valuable asset to the Lady Charger Volleyball program over the past six years," Clinton said. "The Athletic Department is sad to see her leave, but wish her luck in her future endeavors."

A search will begin immediately for a new coach. Anyone interested in applying should send a resume with three references to Joseph Clinton, Director of Athletics at Dominican College.
