RICH BOWERS RETURNS AS HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH AT GOLDEY-BEACOM

Wilmington, DE-Goldey-Beacom College Director of Athletics Chris Morgan has named Richard Bowers as Head Volleyball Coach.

Bowers returns to Goldey-Beacom after being away for three years. At Goldey-Beacom, Bowers had a 65-56 overall record and was 48-20 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). During his four years at GBC, he led the team to four consecutive CACC tournaments and two NAIA Northeast Regional Tournaments. Bowers received the CACC Coach of the Year honors in 2004.

"We are thrilled that Richard Bowers will be joining our staff. He is a quality individual, with a true passion for the sport of volleyball," states Morgan.

"I am excited about returning to Goldey-Beacom College as the Volleyball Coach. I hope to be able to make Goldey-Beacom competitive in the top tier of the CACC in the near future," notes Bowers.

Bowers coached Rising Sun High School the past two seasons to regional championships, while twice being named coach of the year. Other coaching stops have included Bo Manor High School, Cecil Community College, and various local volleyball clubs. Bowers currently resides in Elkton, Maryland with his wife.
