NEW HAVEN, CT - Felician College senior outside hitter Keisha Milstrey has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 4. Fellow Golden Falcon Dee Dee Smith picked up Rookie of the Week accolades.

Milstrey, a senior from Bronx, NY, led Felician to its first-ever CACC Tournament appearance with two key victories last week. She averaged 5.45 kills, 1.00 digs and 0.45 blocks per-game while hitting .235. She recorded 27 kills in the regular-season finale at Wilmington.

Smith, a senior middle hitter from Monticello, NY, averaged 4.36 kills, 0.91 blocks and 0.64 digs per-game in a 2-1 week for the Golden Falcons. Seven of her 10 blocks on the week were solo.

Celena Rendon, Philadelphia (So., OH, San Antonio, TX) - Averaged 3.58 kills and 2.42 digs and hit .217 in a 3-1 week.

Lindsey Wenderoth, USP (Sr., OH, Reisterstown, MD) - Posted averages of 3.00 kills, 3.58 digs and 0.42 blocks per-game with a .200 attack percentage.

CACC Notes

Caldwell - The Cougars ended the 2007 season with a pair of conference wins over Dominican and Goldey-Beacom last week. The results helped Caldwell close out its second season of intercollegiate volleyball with three wins over the final five matches. Freshman middle blocker Keesha Francois hit .341 last week, including 18 kills with one error for a .405 hitting percentage against Goldey-Beacom in the season finale.

Felician - Felician won two road conference matches last week to qualify for the league playoffs for the first time in the four-year history of the program, defeating Nyack and Wilmington for the first time ever. The Golden Falcons have won six matches after winning three in their first three years combined. Sophomore S Nicole Degenhardt recorded her 1,000th career assist at Nyack on Wednesday, then broke her own school record with 55 assists at Wilmington on Saturday. Senior OH Keisha Milstrey had seven kills in Game 5 at Wilmington, as Felician erased deficits of 5-0 and 9-5 to win and make the tournament. Milstrey tied her own school record with 27 kills for the match.

Philadelphia - Celena Rendon now holds the single-season school record for service aces with 66. Teammate Natalie Amodei is second on the list with 57 for the 2007 season. Cassandra Peck became the first player in school history to reach the 500-dig plateau for single season with a 10-dig outing in the loss to West Chester on November 1st. Peck finished the regular season with 521 digs, and the Lady Rams' all-time leader in the category now has 1346 for her standout four-year career.

USP - USP's 16 overall wins and 10 conference wins double their respective totals from the 2006 season. Junior Claire Tauschek became the first USP women's volleyball player to record 600 digs in a season, reaching the mark in USP's third game against Holy Family; Tauschek now has 630 for the season. Senior Olja Marjanovic recorded her 600th career assist against Holy Family and moved into sixth place on the Devils all-time list; she currently has 636 for her career. With her 19 blocks this week, freshman Cady Rich moved into seventh place on the Devils all-time block list with 136, passing teammate Olja Marjanovic who has 135 for her career. Rich's 136 blocks this season are the most ever by a USP freshman and the second highest single season total in school history. In last week's NCAA statistics report, Claire Tauschek ranks 40th nationally in digs/game (5.6); Christine Puschak ranked 40th nationally in aces per game (0.64) and Cady Rich ranked 51st nationally in blocks/game (1.19). The Devils as a team rank 79th in the nation in digs/game (18.14), 35th nationally in aces/game (2.5) and 89th nationally in blocks per game (2.14).
