USP'S WENDEROTH EARNS CACC VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY HONORS

NEW HAVEN, CT - USP senior Lindsey Wenderoth has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Player of the Week honors for the period ending Sunday, October 7. Lauren Hoover of Philadelphia University was the pick for Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.

Wenderoth, a 5-5 senior outside hitter from Reistertown, MD, collected two double-doubles and averaged 2.87 kills, 3.60 digs and 0.33 blocks per-game for the week. She registered 14 kills and 25 digs against Molloy and added 10 kills and 13 digs against Bloomfield.

Hoover, a 5-7 freshman setter from New Baltimore, MI, averaged 12.82 assists and 3.27 digs per-game in a 2-1 week for the Lady Rams. She had 59 assists and 15 digs at Wilmington and added 41 assists and 15 digs against Holy Family.

Honorable Mention

Lindsey Butler, Philadelphia (Sr., MH, DeKalb, IL) - Averaged 2.27 kills and 1.45 blocks per-game with a .236 attack percentage in a 2-1 week.

Kerry Smith, Post (Jr., OH, Lynbrook, NY) - Averaged 3.78 kills and 3.78 digs per-game in three matches.

Kinikia Collier, Dominican (Jr., OH, Garnerville, NY) - Posted averages of 2.71 kills and 4.57 digs in a 1-1 week for the Lady Chargers.

CACC Volleyball Notes

Felician - Felician picked up its first win in program history over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday in six all-time meetings. In Game 2 of that match, it came back from a 29-21 deficit, eventually winning, 36-34. Freshman L Erica Moore had a school-record 35 digs, breaking teammate Nicole Niedzwicki's mark of 30 set in a five-game match last season.

USP - Senior right side hitter Olja Marjanovic recorded her 500th career assist this week, moving her into seventh place on the Devils all-time list with 504 for her career. Lindsey Wenderoth recorded her 1,300th career dig against New Haven and remains in third place on the Devils all-time list with 1,305. Megan Wolfe moved into eighth place on the Devils all-time kill list with 13 kills against Molloy ? she now has 396 for her career. Claire Tauschek ranks 28th nationally in digs/game(5.74) in last week's NCAA statistics release. Christine Puschak ranked 48th nationally in aces per game (0.64) and Cady Rich ranked 82nd nationally in blocks/game (1.11). The Devils as a team rank 82nd in the nation in digs/game and 64th nationally in aces/game.
