BLOOMFIELD'S PERERIA EARNS WEEKLY VOLLEYBALL HONORS

NEW HAVEN, CT - Ursula Pereria of Bloomfield College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 17. Katie Mason of Wilmington College is the pick for Rookie of the Week.

Pereria, a sophomore middle blocker from Brazil, averaged 6.18 kills and 3.09 digs per-game with a .338 attack percentage in a 2-1 week for the Deacons. She wrapped up the week with a 34-kill, 17-dig performance against Goldey-Beacom.

Mason, who is a freshman middle hitter from Avon Grove, PA, posted 2.77 kills, 2.23 digs and 1.38 blocks per-game in a 2-1 week for the Wildcats. She recorded two double-doubles, including 12 kills, 11 digs and eight blocks against Holy Family.

Honorable Mention

Jen O'Connor, Holy Family (So., S/RS, 5-6, Wilmington, DE/St. Elizabeth's) - Averaged 4.46 kills and 6.30 digs per-game and had 20 kills against Wilmington.

Emily Krauss, Philadelphia (Jr., OH, 5-9, Stormville, NY/Carmel) - Averaged 4.55 kills and 2.09 digs per-game along with a .358 attack percentage.

CACC Volleyball Notes

Post - Post dropped a pair of five-game matches this week to Southern Connecticut State and Molloy College. On Wednesday at Southern, three Eagles had double-doubles led by sophomore Kerry Smith who had a team-high 15 kills and 12 digs. Junior Vicky Ducharme finished the evening with 13 kills and a team-high 18 digs, while junior Desere Obregon dished out 46 assists and recorded 12 digs. On Saturday against Molloy, Smith posted her second double-double in as many matches with 17 kills and 17 digs. Obregon recorded 44 assists and 10 digs.

Philadelphia - Senior setter Kristin Goede set a new school record for career service aces with the 129th of her career in the Lady Rams' win at Felician on Sept. 16. In the win over the Golden Falcons, Goede also registered her 3,500th career assist, also a school record.

USP - Ladonna Landmesser became the Devils all-time assist leader with 52 assists vs. Wilmington College. She now has 1,557 for her career. With 30 digs vs. Adelphi, Claire Tauschek moves into 6th place on USP's all time digs list with 715. Tauschek needs 64 digs to move past teammate Raeann Petruccelli into 5th place all-time.

Felician - Junior transfer LaKeisha Milstrey set school single-match records for kills and attack percentage (16, .519) in Felician's home sweep over Caldwell. The Golden Falcons set team single-match records in the same two categories (41, .361). The win was the earliest victory in a season for the third-year program.

Georgian Court - GCU went 2-0 this past week with a big win over Philadelphia University to improve to 3-0 in the CACC.

Caldwell - The Cougars' match against Nyack College on Sept. 12 was the first intercollegiate volleyball match for Caldwell College since 1991. Caldwell is re-starting its volleyball program this season, becoming the 12th CACC school to offer volleyball.
