NEW HAVEN, CT - Emily Roth of the University of Sciences in Philadelphia has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the period of October 17-23. Angieszka Pregowska of New Jersey Institute of Technology has been selected as the Rookie of the Week.
Roth, a senior from York, PA, averaged 6.20 kills and 4.40 digs per-game for the Devils along with a .436 hitting percentage last week. She has now recorded 11 consecutive double-doubles. She tallied 28 kills and 31 digs in a 3-1 win over Bloomfield and had 17 kills in wins against Nyack and Felician.
Pregowska, a freshman who hails from Bridgewater, NJ, tallied 6.18 kills and 3.18 digs per-game at a .271 hitting percentage last week for the Highlanders. She recorded 26 kills and 14 digs against Goldey-Beacom and notched 24 kills and 10 digs versus Post.

Bloomfield - Junior MB Juruena Silveira had a solid week for the Deacons, as she averaged 5.29 kills and 4.14 digs per-game in a 2-2 week. She tallied 24 kills, 10 digs, five aces and three blocks in a 3-0 victory over Wilmington and registered 20 kills and 24 digs against Philadelphia.
Philadelphia - Sophomore OH Emily Krauss set a new school record for kills in a season with 452 thus far in 2005...The Lady Rams had a school-record 22-match winning streak snapped with a loss at Kutztown University Friday evening...Junior setter Kristin Goede set a new single-season school record for assists in a season with her 1,075th in the win over Dominican on Saturday..
Post - Junior OH Tadj Williams broke the schools all-time kills record with a 45-kill weekend in matches against Goldey-Beacom and NJIT. Williams now has 1,384 career kills...Freshman OH Kerry Smith is less than 100 digs away from breaking the schools single-season record.
USP - Freshman Libero Claire Tauschek broke the USP single-season mark for aces versus Nyack and now has 72 this season. As a libero playing the back row only, she had just three reception errors (all vs. Nyack) in 108 chances (97.2-percent) in three matches last week...Senior OH Emily Roth ranks 21st nationally in Division II for kills per-game as of the October 9th release. Roth became the Devils all-time kills leader with 1,392, breaking former player and current assistant coach Breht Mieckowskis record of 1,364. Roth also broke her own single-season record for kills and now has 446 this year...Tauschek is 27th nationally in aces per-game (0.78).
