WIEDEMAN SELECTED AS VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Kristin Wiedeman of Wilmington College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 12-18. Molly Malone of Philadelphia University was chosen as Rookie of the Week.
Wiedeman posted a double-double in all three matches last week as the Wildcats went 2-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The junior from Doswell, VA, averaged 5.55 kills and 4.55 digs per-game for the week along with a .345 hitting percentage. Furthermore, she recorded 18 kills with a .516 hitting percentage against Felician.
Malone, a true freshman from Rochester, NY, had another outstanding week with 2.64 kills per-game, a team-high 19 total blocks (1.46 per-game) and a .482 hitting percentage. She posted 13 kills and six total blocks in a conference victory over Nyack.
