BOWERS RESIGNS AS GOLDEY-BEACOM VOLLEYBALL COACH

WILMINGTON, DE ? Goldey-Beacom College Director of Athletics Chris Morgan announced the resignation of head women?s volleyball coach Richard Bowers this afternoon. Bowers leaves the College after five years of service based on personal reasons.

"We thank Rich for five years of dedicated service,? said Morgan. ?We appreciate the impact he has had on the program and wish him the best of luck."

In five seasons as head coach, Bowers leaves with an overall record of 77-60. His teams have finished 60-22 in conference play and have had two NAIA Regional and three Conference appearances during this time.

Former St. Elizabeth High School and Goldey-Beacom College volleyball standout, Michele Tobiason, will take over the program on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.
