ROTH NAMED CACC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Emily Roth of the University of Sciences in Philadelphia has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the period of Oct. 3-9. Furthermore, Kerry Smith of Post University has earned Rookie of the Week laurels.
Roth, a senior from York, PA, averaged 6.13 digs and 5.88 kills per-game during a 2-0 week for the Devils. She notched 23 kills and 23 digs in a victory over Wilmington on Tuesday and then filled the stat sheet with 24 kills and 26 digs against Dominican on Thursday. She also owned a .322 attack percentage for the week.
Smith, a freshman from Lynbrook, NY, was named Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after earning the honor on Sept. 6. She posted 22 digs and 15 kills against NJIT on Tuesday and then added 21 digs and 12 kills versus Franklin Pierce on Wednesday.
