PHILADELPHIA, Pa. ? Senior outside hitter Ashley Colantonio set a new school record for career kills today, in a key conference victory against Wilmington College. The Springfield, Pa., native set the mark with a kill in the second game of the conference tilt with the Wildcats, moving past former Lady Rams? standout Ruth Wright, who accumulated 956 kills in her career.

?This is a great honor for Ashley,? said Head Coach Mark Magarity, who has guided the Lady Rams to an 11-3 overall record this season including a 7-0 start in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). ?She has been a tremendous performer on and off the court for our program for the past four seasons. She is one of the hardest-working players that I have ever known and she is very deserving of this record.?

A four-year starter for the Lady Rams, Colantonio is currently ranked second on the team in kills with 184 this season through 14 contests. Last season, she set the single-season school record with 408 kills, eclipsing the previous mark of 384 set by Wright in 2002.
