Wildcats Roll Over Tigers in Volleyball

New Castle, DE - Wilmington College opened up their home volleyball season with a 3-0 victory over the visiting Tigers from Holy Family University in CACC action.

Wilmington won the match in three games by scores of 30-19, 30-12, and 30-16. The Wildcats were led by Lindsay Miller (Sr., New Castle, DE) who posted 15 kills, 5 service aces, and hit .444 on the night. Lauren DiSabatino (Sr., Wilmington, DE) chipped in with 8 kills and an outstanding hitting percentage of .700, while Bridget Lambert (Sr., Germantown, MD) had 7 kills. Angie Estep (Jr., Chesapeake Beach, MD) had 31 assists in the win.

Holy Family was led by Kelly Nepi (Jr., New Castle, DE) who had 4 kills and Melissa Zebley (Sr., New Castle, DE) who bolstered the Tiger defense with 12 digs.

After the victory, the Wildcats improved to 2-0 in the CACC and 5-3 overall. The Tigers fell to 2-2 in the CACC and 2-6 overall.

The next action for Wilmington is Sunday afternoon when they travel to USP to take on Northeast Region opponent LeMoyne College ath 3pm.
