Golden Rams End Devils Win Streak

The West Chester University women's volleyball team ended the USP women's volleyball team's four match winning streak with a decisive 3-0 win at Hollinger Field House in West Chester, PA.

The Devils lost the three games by scores of 30-14, 30-10, and 30-11. The loss drops USP's record to 13-6 overall. The Devils remain in second place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with an 11-1 conference record.

USP managed only 11 kills in the three-game match, with Abigail Hughey (Fr., Wilmington Charter/Newark, DE) getting four of them. Emily Roth (Jr., Dallastown HS/York, PA) and Lindsey Wenderoth (Fr., Owings Mills HS/Owings Mills, MD) paced the Devils defensively with nine digs apiece.

A pivotal conference tri-match looms on the horizon for the Devils this weekend as they travel to Waterbury, Connecticut to take on third place Teikyo Post University and seventh place Dominican College. This will be the first meeting between the Eagles of Teikyo Post and the Devils this season. The Dominican squad took the Devils to five games in their match last weekend at Holy Family before USP took the match, 3-2.
