Holy Family Swept By Teikyo Post in Volleyball

Holy Family University? women?s volleyball team lost in straight sets tonight (26-30, 23-30, 16-30) to Teikyo Post University. The loss dropped Holy Family to 4-17 overall and 4-9 in the CACC. Teikyo Post improved to 17-8 overall and 9-2 in the CACC. The Eagles used a 13-4 run to end game 1, and they never looked back after that.

Holy Family was led by senior defensive specialist Melissa Zebley (Wilmington, DE) with 3 kills, 5 assists, and 22 digs. Freshman setter Michelle Copelli (Philadelphia, PA) added 16 assists, while senior hitter Teresa Devine (Philadelphia, PA) contributed 9 kills.

Teikyo Post was led by senior hitter Jennifer Giarratano (Seymour, CT) with 9 kills, 5 service aces, 23 digs, and a .150 attack percentage. Freshman hitters Stacey Garmendia (Pine Bush, NY) and Mia Wooten (Middletown, NY) both added 9 kills apiece, while senior setter Courtney McGinnis assisted 28 times.

Holy Family is back in action on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match-up at Cheyney University. Teikyo Post returns to play on Saturday afternoon as they host a tri-match featuring Dominican College and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
