The Devils won the first and third games by identical 30-17 scores and the fourth game 30-20, while dropping the second game to the Lightning 27-30.

The Lightning jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first game, however USP battled back but still trailed 14-12 before rallying to score six straight service points with Abigail Hughey (Fr., Wilmington Charter/Newark, DE) serving to take an 18-14 lead. USP led 22-16 before the devils scored seven straight points with Roth serving to take a 29-16 lead en route to a 30-17 win.

USP jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the third game and held leads of 15-8 and 20-9 en route to the 30-17 game three win.

The Lightning kept things interesting in game four, taking a 13-10 lead before the Devils rallied to take the lead 15-14 on an ace by Roth. Goldey Beacom retook the lead 19-18 before a side out gave the Devils the serve and tied the game at 19-19. With Wenderoth serving USP scored four straight points to take a 23-19 lead. Both teams exchanged side outs and the Devils had the serve with a 24-20 lead. USP scored the final six points with Hughey serving to take the game 30-20 and the match 3-1.

USP is now 5-2 overall and 3-0 in CACC action.
