Goldey-Beacom Volleyball Downs University of DC, 3-0

WILMINGTON, DE ? Junior Norah Burdette (Ellicott City, MD) had 16 kills and freshman Adrienne Melvin (Newark, DE) added 10 as Goldey-Beacom College defeated the University of the District of Columbia, 3-0, Tuesday night in non-conference volleyball action at MBNA America Hall.

The Lightning won game one 30-8, game two 30-21 and game three 30-10 to improve to 12-7 on the season.

Freshman Kendra Russell (New Castle, DE) added eight kills for Goldey-Beacom. The University of the District of Columbia was led by April Shepherd with nine kills.

The Lightning return to action this Thursday when they host Wilmington College at 7 p.m.
