CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ABIGAIL HUGHEY, USP (Fr, MH, 5-9, Newark, Del.) Averaged 3.90 kills, 4.20 digs and 0.50 blocks per game in a 2-0 week for the Devils, recording her first two career double-doubles. Hit .321 with 24 kills and 22 digs as USP rallied from a 2-0 deficit in a league win over Holy Family, including seven kills and four digs in Game 3.

HONOR ROLL

STACEY GARMENDIA, TEIKYO POST (Fr, OH, 6-0, Pine Bush, N.Y.) Hit .442 with 24 kills in a loss to Goldey-Beacom. Swung .346 and posted 3.40 kills and 0.62 blocks per game in the Eagles? 3-1 week.

LINDSAY MILLER, WILMINGTON (Sr, OH, 5-8, New Castle, Del.) Hit .396 with 3.29 kills and 2.57 digs per game in a 3-0 week for the Wildcats.

NORAH BURDETTE, GOLDEY-BEACOM (Jr, OH, 5-11, Ellicott City, Md.) Hit .464 with 15 kills in a win over Teikyo Post. Led the Lightning to a 3-1 week with a .282 attack percentage, 2.67 kills and 1.00 blocks per game

NOTES

GBC: Freshman Adrienne Melvin posted a triple-double in Tuesday?s loss to Philadelphia, registering 18 kills, 17 assists and 26 digs. The Lightning have won eight of their last nine matches.

HFU: Melissa Zebley averaged 8.33 digs per game last week, including 48 in four games in a win over Dominican. She also had 11 aces in 12 games.

USP: USP?s 13 wins equals last season?s total. The Devils? 13-5 record is their best start since 1994. Head coach Mike Sinesi needs one win to become USP?s all-time winningest volleyball coach. Sinesi, the 15th coach in the Devils; 31-year history, is 35-31 over two-plus seasons and is tied with Scott McKay for the all-time lead.

TPU: Jennifer Giarratano broke the school?s all-time ace record against American International, and currently has 280. She is 25 kills away from breaking TPU?s all-time kills record. Dawn Spellman recorded her 100th coaching victory against Georgian Court. She is 100-90 in her sixth season.

WC: Lindsay Miller is ranked 12th nationally in services ace average. Wilmington won its 46th consecutive conference match on Saturday at NJIT behind double-doubles from Miller and Angie Estep. Lauren DiSabatino and Julia Atkins were named to the Dutch Country Invitational All-Tournament Team at Millersville University the previous weekend.
