Lady Wildcats Advances to CACC Finals

Blauvelt, NY ? - Top seeded Wilmington College (26-8) defeated the #5 New Jersey Institute of Technology (13-13), 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Tournament at the Hennessy Center on the campus of Dominican College this afternoon.

Senior Lindsay Miller (New Castle, DE) and sophomore Julia Atkins

(King George, VA) each had 10 kills for the Lady Wildcats, while Atkins added 4 block assists. Angie Estep (Chesapeake Beach, MD) led the way with 30 assists and had 7 kills in the victory.

For the Highlanders, freshman CACC Newcomer of the Year Angie Casado (Brick, NJ) led the team with 10 kills, while fellow freshman Kubra Tanrikulu (Manahawkin, NJ) added 19 assists, respectively.

The victory advances the Lady Wildcats to the finals which will be held at Dominican College tomorrow afternoon at noon.
