Holy Family Volleyball Drop Home Opener

Holy Family’s women’s volleyball team hosted Mercy College this evening at the Campus Center. The match was the home opener for the Lady Tigers. Unfortunately, the Lady Tigers could not pull out a victory for their home fans.

The Lady Tigers never seemed to get on track against a big Mercy squad. Mercy fields a trio of players over 6 feet tall, and thus forced the Lady Tigers into 38 errors, and held the Lady Tigers to a negative attack percentage.

The Lady Tigers were led by Theresa Devine who had 7 kills, and Amanda Gibbs who had 37 digs.

Mercy was led by Katiana Dorfleus and Yulissa Zamudio who had 18 and 19 kills respectively. Simone Forbes did a great job of getting her whole team involved, as she dished out 43 assists.

The Lady Tigers are right back in action on Thursday night as they play host to West Chester University.
