PUENTES EARNS CACC WOMEN'S TENNIS WEEKLY HONORS

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Stephanie Puentes of Goldey-Beacom College has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 2.

Puentes, a 5-6 freshman from Bogota, Columbia, went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 1-1 at No. 1 doubles last week. She gave Concordia's Yuliya Plevako her first career CACC singles loss on Friday.

Honorable Mention
Juliana Frey, Concordia (Sr., Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) - Remains undefeated this season at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.


Jin Querubin, Holy Family (Jr., 5-5, Mississauga, Ontario) - Went 4-0 at No. 2 singles and 3-1 at No. 1 doubles last week.  


Sara Durham, USciences (Jr., 5-5, Vineland, NJ) - Won both of her matches last week at No.1 singles and No. 1 doubles.


Sayre Limburg, Philadelphia (So., 5-5, New London, NH) - Won both of her No. 2 singles matches last week to improve to 5-3 this season.

CACC Team Notes

Concordia - Concordia (4-0, 4-0 CACC) will have their next match played at Post on Wednesday. The USciences match that was cancelled on Saturday has yet to be rescheduled.
 
Georgian Court - The Lions host Millersville University (10/4) and Philadelphia University (10/5) before ending the week at University of the Sciences (10/6).

Philadelphia - The team recorded two easy wins last week and currently holds a 4-4 overall record to go with a 2-4 CACC mark. This week, the team travels to Georgian Court on Wednesday.
