COTTER TO LEAD CALDWELL TENNIS PROGRAMS

CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College Executive Director of Athletics Mark A. Corino has announced the hiring of Sean Cotter to coach the men's and women's tennis teams at Caldwell. Cotter has been a tennis instructor for over 15 years.

This is Cotter's second stint as a collegiate head tennis coach, as he was the head men's tennis coach at New Jersey City University in Jersey City, N.J., from 1998 until the program was discontinued in 2001. Prior to coaching at NJCU, Cotter was an assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs at the College of Staten Island. He has served as the tennis pro at various tennis clubs, most recently at Clearwater Swim and Fitness Club in Summit, N.J. Cotter was the executive director of the New Jersey Inner City Tennis Foundation from 2002 to 2008, and currently serves on the board of the United States Tennis Association Multicultural Committee.

"We are glad to have Sean bring his enthusiasm and tennis knowledge to our programs," Corino said. "He has experience building tennis programs as well as strong teaching credentials, and we feel he will bring some stability to our teams."

A native of Bayonne, N.J., Cotter lives in Bayonne with his wife Katie their children Ryan and Kennedi.

The Caldwell women's tennis team opens its 2010 schedule with a CACC dual at Post University on Wednesday, Sept. 8. The matches begin at 3:00 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
