STRACQUATANIO EARNS WOMEN'S TENNIS WEEKLY AWARD

NEW HAVEN, CT - Katie Stracquatanio of Philadelphia University has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 30. Luisiana Souto of Goldey-Beacom College has been named Rookie of the Week.

Stracquatanio, a senior from Lawrenceville, NJ, went 3-0 at No. 3/4 singles and 2-0 at No. 3 doubles for the week as the Rams won three matches. She earned her wins against Kutztown, La Salle and Arcadia.

Souto, a freshman from Caracas, Venezuela, compiled a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles against Neumann and Holy Family. She also went 1-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Honorable Mention

Adriana Rodriguez, Philadelphia (Fr., 5-3, San Juan, Puerto Rico) - Picked up two No. 3 singles wins and also two wins at No. 1 doubles.

Corrine Stinemire, Georgian Court (Sr., 5-5, Manchester, NJ) - Went 2-1 at No. 3 singles and 1-0 at No. 3 doubles for the week.

CACC Women's Tennis Notes

Georgian Court - Georgian Court hosts the University of the Sciences this Tuesday for just their second match on the Lions' brand new courts on the Lakewood campus. This is the first time in quite some years that the Lions are playing on their own campus. Georgian Court defeated the Devils 8-0 last season.

Philadelphia - The Lady Rams are currently riding a three-match winning streak, tying their season-high for the current campaign.
