CACC Notes

Caldwell - The Cougars played just one of their three scheduled games last week, losing to Holy Family 3-2 in overtime. Games against Felician and Mercy were postponed due to rain and poor field conditions. Against the Tigers, Caldwell twice came back to tie the game, including senior Jackie D’Orsaneo’s tally in the 88th minute that forced overtime. Freshman midfielder Francesca Marinucci also scored for Caldwell. The loss dropped the Cougars’ record to 1-7-1 in their past nine overtime games. Caldwell plays at Nyack on Wednesday for their only game of the week.

Chestnut Hill - The Griffins remain undefeated in CACC play (6-0-1) and are off to their best ten-game start (7-1-2) since their inaugural season of 2003 (8-1-1). Junior forward Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ) recorded her second conference game with at least five points, with two goals and assist at Dominican College on October 2 (5 pts). She recorded three goals and an assist against Post University (7 pts) last Saturday, September 25.

Georgian Court - Goalkeeper Shealyn Sullivan (Jr.) and the Lions have registered three consecutive shutouts while tallying a 0.64 GAA on the season (9 games). Shannon Murphy (Fr.) scored her first collegiate goal in last week’s 7-0 blitzing of Goldey-Beacom (9/28). Jennifer Molzon (So.) assisted on the play for her first collegiate point. The Lions play three contests this week (10/4 vs. Mercy; 10/6 @ Holy Family; 10/9 @ Post).

Philadelphia - The Rams scored a season-high nine goals in two games this week, highlighted by a big 7-0 win in front of a homecoming crowd over Post University on Saturday.  Rookie midfielder Janine Cascio has been on fire for the Rams, scoring two points or more in each of the last three contests.  This week, the team hosts Chestnut Hill on Thursday (10/7) before heading to Concordia on Saturday (10/9).
