SOMERSET, N.J. - Sky Blue FC of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) recently announced the addition of Georgian Court University Head Soccer Coach, James Moore, to its assistant coaching staff.

"I am very excited to be joining the Sky Blue FC organization. I was honored that Coach (Rick) Stainton considered me for this position," stated Moore. "I am looking forward to working with these world-class players and helping the team win another Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) crown."

"I feel the experience I am receiving with Sky Blue will help to make me a better coach for the Georgian Court University soccer program. Coaching at GCU has given me the opportunity to showcase my abilities and I am completely committed to leading the Lions to a CACC championship."

Coincidentally, Coach Stainton's wife, Amy, serves as Moore's assistant coach at Georgian Court. Stainton also formally served as the head women’s soccer coach at GCU’s rival, Caldwell College.

Coach Moore is entering his sixth year at the helm of the Georgian Court soccer program. Under his leadership the Lions have emerged as a perennial power in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

In 2008, Jim led the squad to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, finishing the season 12-7-5 and ranking in the East region Top 10 for the third year in a row. The season was highlighted by an impressive 15 game unbeaten streak (11-0-4).

Moore took over at Georgian Court prior to the 2005 season and immediately begun the process of rebuilding the once proud program. After struggling to a 2-14-1 season in 2005, he returned in 2006 with eleven new players and led the team to an 11-7-3 record. The 8.5 game improvement was the largest in the nation in 2006. For this, Coach Moore was named the Central Athletic Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year. In 2007 the team won a school NCAA record of 14 games and appeared in the ECAC Championship game.

Since he has taken over the GCU program he has recruited and developed 12 All- CACC players, three Daktronics All East Region players and three Daktronics All- Americans.

Georgian Court commences its 2010 campaign at home on Saturday, September 4th vs. Bloomsburg University (1:00 PM) on Investors Savings Bank Field.
