2009 CACC Women's Soccer Weekly Award Winners
Aug. 31
Player of the Week: Erika Len, Bloomfield (Jr., M, 5-5, Haledon, NJ) - Recorded nine points on three goals and three assists in a 2-0 week for the Lady Deacons. Registered one goal and three assists against Lincoln and added two scores versus Washington Adventist.
Rookie of the Week: Stacey Jones, Bloomfield (Fr., F, 5-10, Mt. Sheriden, Australia) - Posted 11 points in her first collegiate week of action. She tallied five goals and one assist in two BC victories, including three goals against Lincoln.
Sept. 8
Player of the Week: Derienne Jacobowitz, Felician (Jr., F, 5-5, Staten Island, NY) - Tallied all of Felician's goals in a 3-2, overtime triumph over St. Thomas Aquinas. She broke the school record for career goals in the contest, and now has 29 career tallies.
Rookie of the Week: Trisha Sileo, Philadelphia (Fr., F, 5-5, Islip, NY) - Posted the game's only goal in a 1-0 road victory over Chestnut Hill. It was the conference opener for both teams. Also led the Lady Rams with five shots against #19 Bridgeport.
Sept. 14
Player of the Week: Tara Morey, Chestnut Hill (Jr., M, 5-1, Pittsgrove, PA) - Tallied the game-winning goal in overtime against Molloy and also found the back of the net in a CACC victory over Bloomfield. She added an assist in the win over Molloy.
Rookie of the Week: Sabrina Sinopolo, Post (Fr., 5-4, Watertown, CT) - Scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in Post's CACC-opening victory over Nyack. The goals were the first points of her collegiate career.
Sept. 21
Player of the Week: Kelly Lyons, Georgian Court (So., M, 5-6, Jackson, NJ) - Registered four goals in a 2-1 week for the Lions. Scored twice in a 4-1 win over Chestnut Hill and netted the game's only goal in a 1-0 overtime triumph at Bloomsburg University. Also found the back of the net against Concordia College.
Rookie of the Week: Trisha Sileo, Philadelphia (Fr., F/M, 5-6, Islip, NY) - Recorded eight points in a 2-0 week for the Lady Rams. Had one goal and two assists in a CACC win over Nyack College and tallied two goals against Lincoln.
Sept. 28
Player and Rookie of the Week: Megan Tole, Holy Family (Fr., F, 5-5, Philadelphia, PA) -Registered five goals in a 2-0 week for the Tigers. Netted all of her team's goals in a 3-2 win over Wilmington and added two more scores in a 4-0 victory on the road at Nyack, including opening the scoring in the 20th minute.
