CACC Notes

Bloomfield - Bloomfield dropped to 2-4 on the year with an 0-2 week. The Deacons have had the lead in four of the six games they have played so far. Stacey Jones scored two goals against Caldwell to bring her season total to seven, already surpassing BC's 2008 leader in goals scored. For the first time since 2006, and just the third time since the school became a Division II institution, the Lady Deacons notched a goal in five consecutive games.

Caldwell - The Cougars picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday, defeating Bloomfield College 3-2. Senior forward Nicole Laureigh scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute. Junior defender Eliza Urciuoli tallied her first career goal to tie the game at 1-1 in the fourth minute. Caldwell also lost to Chestnut Hill in overtime, 1-0. It was the second overtime loss of the season for the Cougars.

Chestnut Hill - Chestnut Hill matched last year's conference win total with 1-0 (OT) defeat of Caldwell College on Saturday. This week, the team hosts Goldey-Beacom on the 23rd at 4:00 pm and travels to Concordia on the 26th at 12:00 pm.

Concordia - The Clippers upset the preseason poll #1 Georgian Court University Lions this past Saturday, 3-1. Concordia will open up its home field with Bloomfield College this Wednesday.

Felician - In Felician's 2-0 victory at Nyack on Wednesday, freshman GK Allie Couzo recorded her first career shutout and freshman forward Cassie Indri picked up her first collegiate goal.

Georgian Court - The Lions look to rebound from Saturday's loss to Concordia on Wednesday at Bridgeport. GCU upset the Purple Knights last season, 1-0 at Investors Savings Bank Field. GCU heads to Dominican College for a CACC matchup on Sunday.

Holy Family - Holy Family went 2-1 last week to move to 3-4-1 and 1-0-1 in the CACC. The week started with a 5-0 loss to Bridgeport. Holy Family rebounded with wins against Molloy (3-0) and Felician (6-2). Megan Tole, Dawn Curry and Kathryn Helkowski all scored against Molloy. Lindsay Fisher led the offense against Felician with two goals and one assist. The Tigers will host Wilmington on Wednesday and visit Nyack on Saturday.

Philadelphia - The Lady Rams outscored opponents 16-1 this week, racking up two more wins-including a 6-1 victory over CACC opponent Nyack. Besides the standout play of Gabrielle Haden and Trisha Sileo, two sophomores lit up the field- Kristin McKale and Dana Rokoszak. McKale notched the first hat trick of her career vs. Lincoln, while Rokoszak scored three goals on the week- one vs. Lincoln and two more vs. Nyack (within one minute of each other). Looking ahead, the Lady Rams will host West Chester (9/23) and then travel to Post (9/26) this week.
