RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Anna Petersen of Newton has transferred to Felician College and signed an athletic financial aid agreement to continue her women's soccer career for the Golden Falcons, Felician head coach Thomas Notte announced today.

Petersen spent the last two years playing for Sussex County Community College, earning team MVP and all-Garden State Conference honors as a sophomore. A 5-foot-2 midfielder/forward, she has two years of eligibility at Felician, where she intends to major in nursing.

Petersen is a 2007 graduate of Newton High School, where she was four-time all-area in soccer and also played basketball and softball.

Felician is a member of NCAA Division II and plays in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.  The Golden Falcons are coming off a 10-11 won-lost record in 2008, reaching the quarterfinals of the CACC Tournament.
