SHIVERS CLAIMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS FOR WOMEN'S SOCCER

NEW HAVEN, CT - Rachel Shivers of Post University has claimed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 2. Caldwell College's Katie Margiotta garnered Rookie of the Week accolades.
Shivers, a 5-6 sophomore forward from Vernon, CT, registered 14 points on five goals and three assists in a 2-0 week for the Eagles. She was involved in eight of her team's 10 goals in two must-win games. She had three goals and three assists against Goldey-Beacom to clinch a play-off spot for Post.
Margiotta, a 5-8 freshman forward from Sewell, NJ, tallied five points in two games last week. She recorded two goals and one assist in a 3-1 victory over Nyack.
Honorable Mention
Brianna Reinford, Philadelphia (Sr., F, Gilbertsville, PA) - Scored two goals and one assist in a 4-0 win over Goldey-Beacom.
Jamie-Lynn Wallace, Holy Family (Sr., F, Bensalem, PA) - Scored two goals against Chestnut Hill.
CACC Notes
Caldwell - The Cougars wrapped up the regular season last week with a 3-1 CACC win over Nyack on Monday and a 2-1 loss at Dowling in a non-conference game on Wednesday. Freshman forward Katie Margiotta had a hand in all three goals against Nyack, scoring twice and assisting on the other. Senior forward Kristee Paknis tallied a goal and an assist in the win, which clinched fourth place in the CACC final standings for Caldwell. The Cougars host Nyack on Monday in the CACC Tournament quarterfinals. The game marks Caldwell's first home playoff game since 2004.
Felician - Monday's CACC Tournament game for the Golden Falcons
is the program's first since 2004.
Georgian Court - GCU remains undefeated in their last 12 contests
(8-0-4). The Lions' second-place finish in the CACC is their
highest since joining NCAA Division II. For the second year in a
row, GCU will host a first-round CACC Tournament game .
Philadelphia - The Lady Rams clinched the CACC regular-season
title with a 4-0 shutout of GBC last week. Senior Brianna Reinford
had two goals, including the game-winner. PhilaU finished the CACC
regular season undefeated, and have not lost since Oct. 1st. The
Lady Rams performances were rewarded with several postseason
accolades including CACC Player of the Year goalie Sara Hall, CACC
Co-Coach of the Year George Dunbar, and CACC Honorable Mention Sara
Redka and Natalie Vespe. The Lady Rams will host Dominican (11/3)
in CACC Quarterfinal action at 2 p.m.
