Courtesy of Mark Mentone, Felician SID RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Thomas Notte of Mount Arlington has been named the head women's soccer coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today. Notte spent the 2007 season as an assistant with the Felician men's program. Notte was a graduate assistant with the men's team at The College of New Jersey from 2002-04, helping the Lions to the New Jersey Athletic Conference finals his first season. Since 2004, he has been the head coach of the New Jersey Rangers Football Club U-16 girls' team. He has guided the Rangers to three consecutive quarterfinal appearances in the New Jersey State Cup, including the 2007 championship game. As a high-schooler, Notte competed for the Union Lancers Soccer Club. He went on to become a four-year starter at midfield and defense for Springfield College, earning all-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference honors his senior season. Notte earned a BS in physical education from Springfield in 2001 and an MS in education from TCNJ in 2004. Notte teaches physical education and health at Bedminster Middle School. He possesses a National Soccer Coaches Association of America State Diploma, and becomes the third head coach in Golden Falcon history. Felician, a member of the NCAA Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, had a 5-12-1 won-lost-tied record in 2007. |
