NEW HAVEN, CT - Nicole Keiser and Alisha Smith of Nyack College have earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Player and Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 7. The Warriors went 3-0 for the week.

Keiser, a 5-5 senior midfielder from Forked River, NJ, tallied four goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for the Warriors. She scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Queens and had a hat-trick against SUNY Maritime.

Smith, a 5-8 freshman forward from Irvine, CA, scored two game-winning goals for the week, against SUNY Maritime and Chestnut Hill. She tallied five goals and two assists in three games.

Honorable Mention

Ashli Gerlach, Wilmington (Fr., M/F, Red Lion, PA) - Tallied five assists in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats.

Kirsten Stallone, Wimington (Fr., F, Elkton, MD) - Registered three goals and one assist in a 2-0 week.

Christine Warren, Felician (Sr., F, Hasbrouck Hts. NJ) - Scored two goals and had one assist in a 1-1 week for the Golden Falcons.

CACC Notes

Felician - Felician surpassed last year's win total (3) with a road victory against Post last Tuesday. With two goals in Friday's loss at GCU, the Golden Falcons eclipsed their 2006 total for goals (27). Felician still has seven regular season games remaining.

Nyack - This marks Nyack's first 3-game winning streak since 2002 and it is the first time the team recorded three consecutive shutouts. The Warriors have recorded 14 goals to go with 0 goals conceded during the winning streak.

Philadelphia - Head Coach George Dunbar needs just one more victory for 100 in his collegiate coaching career. To date, all 99 of his wins have occurred during Dunbar's nine-year career as the mentor of the Lady Rams. Junior goalkeeper Sara Hall needs one more shutout to set a new Philadelphia University women's soccer record of 20. Former Lady Rams' standout and current assistant coach Stephanie Martin-Boylan currently holds the record with 19.5, set from 2000 through 2003.
