WEBER TABBED HEAD WOMEN'S LACROSSE COACH AT HOLY FAMILY

Philadelphia, Pa. - Holy Family University Athletics Director Sandy Michael has announced that Elizabeth Weber has been named the new head women's lacrosse coach for the Tigers. Weber becomes the third head coach in program history.
“I am very pleased to announce Elizabeth Weber as our women's lacrosse coach,” said Michael. “We are excited to have her aboard to share her knowledge and take charge of our women's lacrosse program. Elizabeth brings a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to Holy Family. She is the perfect candidate to lead the team to success for many years to come.”
“It is amazing to receive this opportunity at Holy Family University,” said Weber. “I'd like to thank Sandy Michael for bringing me on board as I look forward to getting started in a supportive athletic department. The student-athletes and I will be working hard to build a tradition of excellence. I am excited to be a part of the Holy Family community.”
Weber comes to Holy Family after spending the past season as an assistant coach at Division I Villanova University. While at Villanova, Weber served as the Defensive/Midfield Coordinator. She also monitored the academic status of student-athletes and scouted and recruited at various tournaments.
Prior to her stint at Villanova, Weber was an assistant coach for Division I LaSalle University during the 2010 season. She assisted in running practices, strategies, plays and drills throughout the season. Weber's primary focus was on the attack. As a team, LaSalle made its first ever appearance in the Atlantic-10 tournament.
As an undergraduate, Weber played four seasons for the Loyola University women's lacrosse team. During her career she appeared in 54 games and scored 37 goals to go along with eight assists. Weber was also an assistant coach for the Greyhound Lacrosse Club in Baltimore and also served as an intern in the Loyola Athletic Communications office.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications, specializing in advertising and public relations from Loyola in 2009.
During her time as a student at Moorestown High School, Weber lettered in three sports, including lacrosse, field hockey and basketball.
Weber is currently pursuing her Masters degree in sports management at Neumann University.
