McGRATH TABBED PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR WOMEN'S LACROSSE

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Ryan McGrath of Georgian Court University has
been tabbed the Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Player of
the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 3. Amanda Caprio of
Dominican College was chosen Rookie of the Week.
McGrath, a 5-10 senior attack from Manasquan, N.J., led GCU to a dominant 2-0 week with nine goals and seven assists for 16 total points. Recorded five goals and five assists in a win against second-place Philadelphia and added four goals and a pair of assists against Chestnut Hill.
Caprio, a 5-4 freshman goalie from Point Pleasant, N.J., led Dominican to a 2-0 week by allowing a total of 14 goals and saving 26 shots. She stopped 18 shots in a 12-6 victory over Wilmington on Monday.
Honorable Mention
Sarah Kiernan, Dominican (Sr., M, 5-6, Saugerties, NY) -
Registered six goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for the Chargers.
Had four goals and one assist in a victory over Wilmington
Monday.
Jennifer James, Holy Family (Sr., A, 5-6, Philadelphia, PA) - Posted six goals in her only game of the week, a victory over Wilmington.
Taylor Peltzer, Philadelphia (Jr., A, 5-10, Holland,
PA) - In three games, tallied seven goals and seven
assists. Had two goals and five assists against Post and scored
three times in a setback to Georgian Court.
Danielle Niccoli, Wilmington (Sr., M, Sparrows Point, MD)
- Tallied six goals in a loss to Holy Family.
CACC Notes
Dominican - The Lady Chargers are off to their best start in program history with an overall record of 4-2 and a 3-1 CACC mark. Senior Silje Karlsen netted her 100th career goal in a 12-6 victory over Wilmington on Monday.
Georgian Court - Lauren Conaty (Sr.) led the Lions with 10 goals last week. She leads the squad with 32 goals. GCU, in five CACC games, has outscored its opponent by a combined score of 94-17. Georgian Court plays three games this week with a home and home with Holy Family (4/5 and 4/9) and a road contest at Post University on Sunday.
Holy Family - Holy Family snapped its three game losing streak this past week after defeating Wilmington University, 16-15, on Wednesday. Senior Jennifer James scored the game’s final two goals to tie the game and give the Tigers the lead with: 33 seconds left in regulation. James finished the game with a game-high six goals. Junior Lauren Greco added three goals in the victory.
Philadelphia - PhilaU played a 2-1 week, picking up two CACC wins against Chestnut Hill and Post to move into second place in the conference standings. Next week the Rams stay home to host Wilmington University (4/5) and Dominican College (4/9) in two conference match-ups.
Post - Last week Post University goalie Jackie Jolles was ranked seventh nationally in saves per game and eighth in total saves.
