POST'S MARRAN TABBED WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Stephanie Marran of Post University has been
tabbed the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's
Lacrosse Player of the Week for the first week of the season. Kelly
Campbell of Chestnut Hill College was named Rookie of the Week.
Marran, a 5-8 freshman midfielder from Patchogue, N.Y., helped lead Post to its first-ever victory in a 13-10 win over Bridgeport. She scored five goals in that game, including the game-winner, while also notching four goals and one assist in a loss to Queens.
Campbell, a 5-7 freshman from Hatboro, Pa., scored her first two collegiate goals in a loss to Mercy. She recorded a goal that tied the game, 1-1, and found the back of the net again with just 32 seconds left in the first half of play.
Honorable Mention
Ryan McGrath, Georgian Court (Jr., A, Manasquan, NJ) - Recorded five goals and two assists in the first two games of the season for the Lions, including four goals and one assist in a loss to #8 Stonehill.
Nicole Covella, Chestnut Hill (So., A, Vineland, NJ) - Totaled five goals and an assist for six points in the loss to Mercy.
CACC Notes
Georgian Court - Lauren Conaty (Sr.) finished the week with five goals in two games, including a hat trick in the season opener, 3/2 vs. East Stroudsburg. Her first goal on 3/5 at #8 Stonehill was the 100th of her collegiate career. The Lions will travel to #2 C.W. Post this Wednesday before hosting #10 Dowling College on Saturday afternoon.
Post - The Eagles recorded their first-ever victory last week with a 13-10 win over Bridgeport. This is the second year Post has fielded a women’s lacrosse team.
