HOLY FAMILY'S CARR CHOSEN CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

NEW HAVEN, CT - Catherine Carr of Holy Family University has
been chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)
Women's Basketball Player
of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 29. Aubrey Latham of
Post University was named Rookie of the Week.
Carr, a 6-0 junior forward from Bedminster, NJ, led Holy Family to a 2-0 week with averages of 27.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per-game. She poured in 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a 77-63 win at Kutztown and added 24 points on 11-for-21 shooting at C.W. Post in a 60-52 triumph.
Latham, a 5-8 freshman forward from Mystic, CT, registered 20 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals in an 80-61 victory over Mercy. She shot 8-for-17 from the field and did not commit a turnover in 34 minutes of action.
Honorable Mention
Elizabeth Johnson, Post (Jr., G, 5-8, Norwich, CT) - Tallied 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a win over Mercy.
Caitlin Shaw, USP (Jr., G/F, 5-8, Eatontown, NJ) - Recorded 20 points and eight rebounds against Millersville.
Janelle Biamonte, Felician (Sr., F, 5-9, Secaucus, NJ) - Posted 13 points, 11 rebounds and four steals in a victory over NYIT.
Lekesha Harris, Nyack (Jr., G, 5-8, St. Alban's, NY) - Registered 17 points, six rebounds and two assists in a win over NYIT. Played just 20 minutes.

Bloomfield - The Lady Deacons lost a pair of nail-biters last week, falling 70-68 in the final seconds to Virginia State and 71-67 to Elizabeth City State. Sophomore Nichole Hawkins posted the best single-game effort for BC, notching 20 points and three rebounds against Elizabeth City St.
Caldwell - The Cougars received nine points in the latest USA Today ESPN Division II Coaches Poll, released Nov. 24. This is the first time Caldwell has appeared in a national poll since joining NCAA Division II before the 2002-03 season. The Cougars host Cheyney University on Monday, Nov. 30, before beginning CACC play with a game at Dominican on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Georgian Court - The Lions currently have a four-game losing streak after starting the season 1-0. GCU plays its lone game of the week on Wednesday at Cheyney University. Freshman sisters, Shawna and Dana Wert, are a combined 27-32 from the free throw stripe (84%) this season.
Goldey-Beacom - Redshirt sophomore guard Jacinda Jones reached 400 points for her career on Tuesday with a 10-point performance against West Chester.
Holy Family - Holy Family, ranked 25th in the first regular season USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, picked up a pair of road wins to improve to 3-1. On Tuesday, Holy Family defeated Kutztown University, 77-63. Forward Catherine Carr led the charge with a season-high 31 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Christine McCollum added 17 points and six assists, both season bests. Against C.W. Post, Carr had 24 points in a 60-52 win. Forward Erin Mann poured in a career-high 10 points. The Tigers won their 73rd straight game when they keep an opponent to less than 60 points. McCollum is 86 points away from 1,000 in her career. Holy Family returns to action on Tuesday, December 8 at Wilmington University.
Philadelphia - The Lady Rams had a tough week, falling to two
non-conference foes in Shippensburg (11/24) and Millersville
(11/28). The Lady Rams were led by senior center Jessica Romano
(Horsham, PA/ Hatboro-Horsham) who recorded a total of 28 points
and 19 rebounds while senior guard Nina Brascetta (Philadelphia,
PA/ Archbishop Ryan) added 20 points and three rebounds in the two
contests. The Lady Rams will be back in action this Wednesday
(12/2) when they host West Chester University.
