RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Ben DiNallo Jr. has resigned as the head women’s basketball coach at Felician College, he announced today. DiNallo will continue in his positions as Felician’s director of athletics and head golf coach.

DiNallo coached the Golden Falcons from 1998-99 to 2004-05, setting a school record for victories that still stands with a 19-12 record in his first year. He returned to the bench as the interim coach for the final 10 games of 2005-06, and continued in the job full-time last season. He has 91 career victories.

“I make this decision with mixed emotions, but feel it is in the best interests of our student-athletes, the athletics department, and the College as a whole,” DiNallo said. “As our department continues to grow and take shape, I wish to once again devote more of my energies to moving our programs forward.”

DiNallo, of River Edge, has been the College’s A.D. since February 2003, and became the Golden Falcons’ inaugural golf coach in 2005. He is the secretary of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and the league’s executive committee supervisor for women’s soccer. He also serves as a member of the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Northeast Regional Advisory Committee and the ECAC D-II Womens’ Volleyball Selection Committee.
