FELICIAN WOMEN'S HOOPS ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE

September 3, 2007

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Defending NCAA Division II national champion Southern Connecticut State University highlights the non-conference portion of the 2007-08 Felician College women's basketball schedule, which was released today.

Felician will play the NCAA-maximum 27 games next season, all against D-II opponents. With the separation of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference into Northern and Southern divisions, the Golden Falcons' CACC schedule has decreased from 22 to 17 games.

Led by ninth-year head coach Ben DiNallo Jr., Felician will travel to New Haven, Conn., on Dec. 3 for a 7 p.m. date with Northeast Regional foe Southern Connecticut. Eight of the 10 non-CACC games are against opponents from the East Coast or Northeast-10 Conferences, the other two leagues in the region.

"I'm excited about our 2007-08 schedule," DiNallo said. "The mix of schools from the ECC and Northeast-10 should make for a very challenging season. And whenever you can play the defending national champion in any sport, it is cause for excitement."

The Golden Falcons will be looking to rebound from a 2-28 season in 2006-07. Both opponents Felician defeated are on this year's schedule: Concordia (N.Y.) College (away, Nov. 26) and CACC North member Nyack College (home, Jan. 12; away, Feb. 13). Felician's complete 2007-08 schedule is attached.
