NEW CASTLE, DE -- Wilmington University Athletic Director, Frank Aiello, is pleased to announce the hiring of Rob Miller as women's basketball coach. Miller replaces Bill Cleary, who resigned after five seasons.

A graduate of Wilmington University, Miller was previously an Associate Men's Basketball Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Goldey-Beacom College. In three seasons, he helped guide the Lightning to a 36-48 record and an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship.

Miller also spent three years as an assistant women's basketball coach at Immaculata University. He was an associate head coach for the men's program at the Tome School and for the women's program at Archmere Academy. Miller also was the head women's soccer coach at both Goldey-Beacom and Immaculata.

Wilmington finished 22-9 last season and captured the school's first ECAC Championship. "There are quite a few top quality players returning from last year's team. I feel we are a veteran team, and I hope to build on that leadership and put together one of the most competitive programs in the northeast region," Miller said.

"We are very happy to have Rob join the coaching staff," Aiello said. "He comes to us with an impressive background. I feel confident that the women's basketball program will benefit greatly from his knowledge of the game. I'm positive our student-athletes will enjoy working with him."

Miller currently works at the University's Cumberland County College campus in New Jersey, as the Assistant Site Manager.
