CACC Notes

Caldwell - The Cougars earned a pair of 17-point victories at Post and Bloomfield before falling at Nyack by five last week. Caldwell's 53-36 win at Bloomfield on Feb. 7 marked the lowest points allowed by the Cougars sine a 77-33 victory over Nyack on Feb. 14, 2004.

Chestnut Hill - Senior forward Tara Walsh topped 20 points for the third time this season against Wilmington. She scored 21 and collected seven rebounds while passing out three assists, making two blocks, and a steal. Walsh opened the week with 13 points and five rebounds against Goldey-Beacom College. Seniors Stephanie Longdo, Kamilah Bergman and Jasmin Rodriguez played the final home game of their collegiate careers, as Georgian Court will play its final five games on the road.

Holy Family - Holy Family remained one of three undefeated teams in Division II by picking up three wins last week. The Tigers defeated Wilmington (81-64), Georgian Court (82-50) and Philadelphia (81-55). The wins clinch the southern division for Holy Family and gives the team home-court advantage in the first two rounds of the CACC Tournament. The Tigers are 22-0 overall and 13-0 in conference play. Holy Family is first in the NCAA Northeast Regional Rankings and seventh in the nation in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll. Nationally, the Tigers are second in turnovers per game (13.4), third in assist/turnover ratio (1.22) and field goal defense (32.6), fourth in scoring defense (50.4) and ninth in scoring margin (+19.3). This week, Holy Family hosts Goldey-Beacom on Thursday and is at Dominican on Saturday. A win on Saturday will give Holy Family home-court advantage throughout the CACC Tournament.
