NEW HAVEN, CT - Nordia Henry of Wilmington University has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 2. Catherine Carr of Holy Family University picked up Rookie of the Week accolades for the sixth time this season.

Henry, a 6-2 senior center from Philadelphia, PA, led Wilmington to a 2-0 week with averages of 18.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per-game while shooting 64.0-percent (16-for-25) from the field. She tallied 27 points and 11 rebounds on 11-for-16 shooting in a CACC Tournament Quarterfinal win over Philadelphia on Saturday.

Carr, a 6-0 freshman forward from Bernardsville, NJ, averaged 14.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per-game in a 2-0 week. She registered 20 points and five rebounds in a CACC Tournament Quarterfinal victory over USP.

Honorable Mention

Ashley Webster, Philadelphia (Sr., F, 5-10, Philadelphia, PA) - Averaged 21.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per-game in a 1-1 week for the Lady Rams.

Althea Chambers, Dominican (Jr., G, 5-7, Yonkers, NY) - In two wins, posted 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per-game.

Mackenzie Lynch, Caldwell (Jr., F, 5-11, Wayne NJ) - Averaged 18.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 5.5 steals per-game in two contests for the week.

Tara Walsh, Chestnut Hill (Sr., F, 5-11, Woodbine, NJ) - Collected 19 points and eight rebounds in a loss at Wilmington.

CACC Notes

Caldwell - Senior guard Dana Leary hit a 15-foot jumper midway through the first half against Nyack Feb. 27 to eclipse the 1,000-point milestone for her career. Leary, who is the 10th Cougar to score 1,000 career points since 1987, finished with 14 points against Nyack and 15 points versus Bloomfield Mar. 1, giving her 1,021 points for her career. Junior forward Mackenzie Lynch notched double-doubles in both games last week. The All-CACC third team selection has 10 double-doubles this season and 21 in her 49-game career at Caldwell. The Cougars' 17 wins are the most since the 2002-2003 team went 21-8. This year's squad recorded the program's first winning season in five years.

Felician - In the season's final three weeks, junior forward Amanda Bartee averaged 8.0 points and 6.6 rebounds, as compared to her season averages of 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Holy Family - Holy Family is still undefeated after a pair of wins last week. The Tigers defeated Georgian Court in the regular season finale, 91-51. Guard Shanea Williams led the Tigers with a career-high 17 points. Then on Saturday, Holy Family got past USP in the opening round of the CACC Championship Tournament, 60-48. Forward Catherine Carr led all scorers with 20 points. The Tigers are fourth in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll and first in the NCAA Northeast Regional Rankings. The team is one of three undefeated squads left in Division II and one of eight in all of college basketball. Holy Family will host Bloomfield on Wednesday in a CACC semifinal. The Tigers won the first meeting in January, 65-57.

Philadelphia - The Lady Rams ended the regular season on a six-game CACC winning streak to finish 12-6 in league play. Philadelphia also made its first appearance in the Northeast Region rankings this season; at #10 for the poll taken Feb. 27, 2008.

USP - In the last NCAA statistics report, Erin Chesnavich is ranked 17th nationally in field goal percentage (56.3%); 54th nationally in rebounding (8.9 ppg.); and 60th in blocked shots (1.5/gm). Allison Weiss is ranked 50th nationally in rebounds (9.1); 46th in free throw percentage (83.1%) and 81st in assists (4.2/gm.). Caitlin Shaw was ranked 85th in free throw percentage (80.5%). USP as a team is ranked 36th nationally in free throw percentage (74.1%); 7th in fewest personal fouls committed per game (13.9); 65th in field goal percentage defense (37.6%), 75th in rebound margin (3.5) and 50th in blocked shots/game (3.8).
