2006-07 CACC Women's Basketball Weekly Award Winners

November 20

Player of the Week: Alisha Ferguson, Philadelphia (Sr., 5-11, C, Fort Washington, PA) - Averaged 23.0 points and 22.0 rebounds in two games for the Lady Rams. Opened with a 32-point, 24-rebound performance against Concordia and followed with a 14-point, 20-rebound effort against NYIT. Also posted averages of 3.0 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 assists per-game.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., 5-11, F, Wilmington, DE) - Poured in 36 points in her collegiate debut against Columbia Union. Shot 16-for-33 from the field and 4-for-12 from the arc. Also pulled down six rebounds and had two blocks and one steal.

November 27

Player of the Week: Meg Abele, Philadelphia (Sr., 5-11, F, Lititz, PA) - Poured in a game-high 33 points in a loss to East Stroudsburg. Shot 11-for-21 from the field, 3-for-5 from 3-point range and 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. Added three steals and one block.

Co-Rookies of the Week: Casi Donelan, Goldey-Beacom (Fr., 5-8, F, Fairfax, VA) and Erin Chesnavich, USP (Fr., 6-2, C, Pittston, PA) - Both notched double-doubles during the week. Donelan registered 24 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Columbia Union. Shot 7-for-15 from the field and hit all nine of her free-throw attempts while dishing out three assists. Chesnavich recorded 17 points and 15 rebounds in a win over West Chester. Shot 8-for-18 from the field and added two blocks and two steals.

December 4

Player of the Week: Sherrelle Holmes, Wilmington (Sr., 5-6, G, Philadelphia, PA) - Averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats. Shot 50.0% from the floor and made 16-of-19 free throws. Recorded 27 points in a league win over Georgian Court.

Rookie of the Week: Adele Laskowski, Dominican (Fr., 5-9, G, Wayne, NJ) - Averaged 14.7 points and 3.3 steals in a 2-1 week. Scored a career high 21 points in a win at Felician. Shot 61.3-percent from the floor and made all six of her free-throws during the week.

December 11

Player of the Week: Mackenzie Lynch, Caldwell (So., 5-11, Wayne, NJ) -Averaged 34.3 points, 14.3 rebounds and shot 67.8-percent from the floor and 85.2-percent at the foul line in a 2-1 week. Posted career highs of 44 points and 22 rebounds in an overtime win over USP.

Rookie of the Week: Adele Laskowski, Dominican (Fr., 5-9, G, Wayne, NJ) - Scored 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting in a loss to Bloomfield. Averaged 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 steals and shot 51.5 percent in the Chargers' 2-1 week.

December 18

Player of the Week: Sherrelle Holmes, Wilmington (Sr., 5-6, G, Philadelphia, PA) - Led Wilmington to a CACC victory over Caldwell with 20 points, six assists and four steals. Shot 7-for-13 from the field, 6-for-7 from the free-throw line and grabbed two rebounds.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., 5-11, F, Wilmington, DE) - Notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in an 84-66 conference win over Caldwell. Shot 6-of-8 from the field, 1-for-1 from long range and dished out one assist.

January 2

Player of the Week: Meg Abele, Philadelphia (Sr., F, 5-11, Lititz, PA) - Led the Rams to a 2-0 mark in conference play by averaging 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per-game. Recorded 24 points, four rebounds and two steals in a win over Wilmington College and notched 19 points, five rebounds and four steals against Georgian Court University.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., G/F, 5-11, Wilmington, DE) - Averaged 21 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per-game in a 1-2 week. Tallied 26 points and nine rebounds in a win over Northwood during a holiday trip to Florida.

January 8

Player of the Week: Cherrise Graham, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., G, 5-8, Philadelphia, PA) - Averaged 29.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per-game last week for the Lightning. Poured in 39 points (15-of-19 shooting from the field) and added nine rebounds and six assists in a victory over Nyack. She also registered 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists at Philadelphia.

Co-Rookies of the Week: Erin Chesnavich, USP (Fr., C, 6-2, Pittston, PA) and Sophia Iloh, Georgian Court (Fr., F, 6-1, Union, NJ) - Chesnavich averaged 15.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per-game for the week. Shot 50-percent (14-of-28) from the field and added 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per-game. Recorded 19 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals against East Stroudsburg.

Iloh registered 14.0 ppg and 10.5 rpg in two games for the Lions. Shot 54.5-percent (12-of-22) from the field and blocked 2.0 shots per-game. Notched 20 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks against Caldwell.

January 16

Co-Players of the Week: Cherrise Graham, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., G, 5-8, Philadelphia, PA) and Meg Abele, Philadelphia (Sr., F, 5-11, Lititz, PA) -- Graham averaged 25.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per-game for the week. She had 34 points, nine rebounds and four steals against Post.

Abele averaged 26.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per-game while shooting 53.1-percent (26-of-49) from the field. Poured in 31 points and eight rebounds versus Dominican.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., G/F, 5-11, Wilmington, DE) - Tallied two double-doubles during the week and averaged 23.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg in three games. Registered 23 points and 13 rebounds at Felician and 21 points and 11 rebounds at Nyack.

January 22

Player of the Week: Megan Bauer, Holy Family (Sr., C, 6-3, Norwood, PA) - Averaged 16.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 assists in a 3-0 week for the Tigers. Scored her 1,000th career point during a 21-point, 11-rebound effort against Wilmington. Also registered 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocks at Goldey-Beacom.

Rookie of the Week: Adele Laskowski, Dominican (Fr., F, 5-9, Wayne, NJ) - Averaged 23 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 2-0 week. Tallied 25 points and seven rebounds against Georgian Court and followed with 21 points and three rebounds against Goldey-Beacom.

January 29

Player of the Week: Cherrise Graham, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., G, 5-8, Philadelphia, PA) - Led the Lightning to a 3-0 week with averages of 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per-game. Shot 54.7-percent (23-of-42) from the field and 90-percent (18-for-20) from the free-throw line. Poured in 34 points and 12 rebounds at Wilmington and added 25 points and six rebounds at Bloomfield.

Co-Rookies of the Week: Adele Laskowski, Dominican (Fr., F, 5-9, Wayne, NJ) and Erin Chesnavich, USP (Fr., C, 6-2, Pittston, PA) - Both Laskowski and Chesnavich helped lead their teams to 3-0 weeks. Laskowski averaged 15.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per-game and committed just two turnovers in three games. Tallied 19 points and three rebounds at Post and also registered 14 points and 10 rebounds versus Wilmington.

Chesnavich averaged 12.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 0.67 blocks per-game. She tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds at Caldwell and had 17 points and seven rebounds versus Wilmington.

February 5

Player of the Week: Jackie Tracey-Spitaleri, Dominican (Sr., G, 5-6, Bronx, NY) - Filled the box score with totals of 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists and seven steals in a 75-63 victory over Bloomfield. She shot 6-for-12 from the field and 10-for-14 from the free-throw line.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., G/F, 5-11, Wilmington, DE) - Posted averages of 24.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in a 2-0 week. Shot 20-for-40 (.500) from the field and tallied 33 points and 12 rebounds versus Georgian Court. Ended the week by providing the game-winning lay-up at the buzzer to defeat Philadelphia.

February 12

Player of the Week: Ashley Lobbato, Georgian Court (So., G, 5-7, Monroe, NJ) - Averaged 18.0 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals for the week. Netted the game-winning basket against Caldwell and registered 20 points, 19 rebounds and four steals against Nyack. For the week, she shot 50-percent (15-of-30) from the field.

Rookie of the Week: Adele Laskowski, Dominican (Fr., F, 5-9, Wayne, NJ) - Tallied 21.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per-game in a 2-1 week for the Chargers. Notched 29 points against Nyack and added 20 points and three rebounds against Caldwell. Shot 56.8-percent (25-of-44) from the field for the week.

February 19

Player of the Week: Kelly Killion, Holy Family (Jr., G, 5-7, Pennsauken, NJ) - Registered a season-high 27 points on Thursday in a victory against Goldey-Beacom. Followed that effort by sinking 7-of-10 three-pointers and scoring 25 points with four blocks against Dominican. Averaged 26.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per-game and shot 60-percent from long range (12-20) in a 2-0 week.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., F, 5-11, Wilmington, DE) - Averaged 21.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per-game and shot 44-percent on three-pointers despite the Wildcats' 0-2 week. Scored 24 points in Thursday's loss to Bloomfield.

February 26

Player of the Week: Cherrise Graham, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., G, 5-7, Philadelphia, PA) - Averaged 28.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per-game in a 2-0 week. Poured in 35 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists against Wilmington and added 22 points at Caldwell. Shot 54.0-percent (20-37) from the field for the week.

Rookie of the Week: Amelia Simmons, Wilmington (Fr., F, 5-11, Wilmington, DE) - Averaged a double-double for the week with 14.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg. Shot 52.6-percent (20-for-38) from the field for the week. Tallied 15 points and 11 rebounds versus Holy Family and registered 14 points and 15 boards against Nyack.

March 5

Player of the Week: Kelly Killion, Holy Family (Jr., G, 5-7, Pennsauken, NJ) - Was named MVP of the CACC Tournament after averaging 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per-game while hitting half of her 3-point attempts (13-of-26). Tallied 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the championship game to earn MVP honors for the second time in her career.

Rookie of the Week: Jessica Romano, Philadelphia (Fr., C, 6-0, Horsham, PA) - Recorded one double-double in three games during the CACC Tournament. Averaged 9.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per-game as the Rams advanced to the CACC Championship game. Tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds in a quarterfinal win over Wilmington.
