GRAHAM EARNS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

NEW HAVEN, CT - Senior guard Cherrise Graham of Goldey-Beacom College has earned women's basketball Player of the Week honors in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), it was announced today. Amelia Simmons of Wilmington College has been selected Rookie of the Week.

Graham, a 5-7 guard from Philadelphia, averaged 28.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per-game in a 2-0 week. She poured in 35 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists against Wilmington and added 22 points at Caldwell. She shot 54.0-percent (20-37) from the field for the week. Graham has earned Player of the Week honors four times this season.

Simmons, a 5-11 forward from Wilmington, DE, averaged a double-double for the week with 14.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg. She shot 52.6-percent (20-for-38) from the field for the week. She tallied 15 points and 11 rebounds versus Holy Family and registered 14 points and 15 boards against Nyack.

Honorable Mention

Shelby Rance, USP - Averaged 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.5 assists per-game in a 2-0 week.

Kelly Killion, Holy Family- Posted averages of 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in a 2-0 week.

Tadj Williams, Post- Averaged a double-double for the week with 19.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per-game.

CACC Notes

Caldwell: Senior guard Shannon Coyle finished her three-year career at Caldwell having made 146 three-pointers to rank second on the Cougars' all-time list.

Felician: Laurin Brown's 73 three-point field goals are believed to be a single-season school record. Diane Burns completed her collegiate career without missing a game, playing 113 consecutively and starting 108 of them. Felician missed the league playoffs for the first time since 2002-03.

Georgian Court: GCU closed out their season against Post University Saturday afternoon. Kamilah Bergman led the Lions with 20 points while Stephanie Longdo added 19.

Goldey-Beacom: Senior Kim Rowley became the first player in GBC history to reach the 1,000 career rebound milestone. She did so with her second rebound versus Caldwell College. She reached the 1,000 career point milestone last season.

Holy Family: Holy Family has won at least 25 games in each of the last 10 seasons.

Post: Post qualified for the CACC Championships for the second season in a row under Head Coach Todd McEvoy. The Eagles will travel to No. 1 Holy Family on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Post has won four of its last six games and six of its last 10 heading into the CACC Championships. Senior Tadj Williams leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 14.5 ppg and 8.6 rpg. In the last week of the regular season, Williams averaged 19.3 ppg and 10.7 rpg

USP: USP has now won 13 of their last 16 games. Rashanna Edwards recorded 17 assists in the Devils two games this week. Shelby Rance moved into 5th place on the Devils all-time steal list with four against Felician, giving her 208 for her career. Lori Sedina moved into ninth place on the Devils all-time rebounding list with six rebounds vs. Felician and now has 565 for her career. In the latest NCAA statistics release, the Devils are ranked 7th nationally in free throw percentage (77.3%), 9th nationally in blocked shots per-game (5.0) and 37th nationally in scoring defense (58.1pts./gm). Rance is ranked 23rd nationally in free throw percentage (86.5) and 86th in scoring (15.8) while Lori Sedina is ranked 30th in blocked shots (1.8/gm). Edwards is ranked 44th in assists (4.7), and 96th in free throw percentage (80.0%). Erin Chesnavich is ranked 17th in field goal percentage (54.8) and 55th in blocked shots (1.5).
