CALDWELL'S MACKENZIE LYNCH NAMED WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Mackenzie Lynch of Caldwell College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 11. Freshmen Adele Laskowski of Dominican College was honored as Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Lynch, a 5-11 sophomore forward from Wayne, NJ, averaged 34.3 points and 14.3 rebounds, and shot 67.8 percent from the floor and 85.2 percent at the foul line in a 2-1 week. She posted career highs of 44 points and 22 rebounds in an overtime win over USP.
Laskowski, a 5-9 freshman guard from Wayne, NJ, scored 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting in a loss to Bloomfield. She averaged 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals and shot 51.5 percent in the Chargers' 2-1 week.
Honorable Mention
Cherrise Graham, Goldey-Beacom - Scored 34 points in a win over Felician. Averaged 23.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in a 1-2 week.
Meg Abele, Philadelphia - Shot 69 percent from the floor, made 7 of 11 three-pointers and 17 of 19 free throws, and averaged 30.0 points in a 2-0 week.
Stephanie Longdo, Georgian Court - Averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 assists in a 2-1 week. Scored 20 points with 10 assists in a win over Columbia Union.
CACC Notes
Caldwell - Sophomore F Mackenzie Lynch helped the Cougars defeat USP in overtime with a 44-point, 22-rebound effort on Dec. 9. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak against the Devils that dates back to the 2003-04 season. Lynch, who also tallied 34 points and 12 boards in an 84-53 win versus Felician on Dec. 5, has recorded four double-doubles through eight games this season.
Felician - Despite an 0-3 week, Felician was 20 for 41 (.488) from three-point range last week, including 9 of 13 (.692) in a loss at Goldey-Beacom. Leading the way was senior G Laurin Brown, who was inserted into the starting line-up for the first time this season prior to Tuesday's game at Caldwell, and shot 14 for 26 (.538) from long range for the week.
Goldey-Beacom - Junior Toni Jones surpassed the 1,000-point career mark on Thursday in an 81-57 win over Felician. Jones is the second junior in as many seasons for the Lightning to surpass the milestone. Last season, Kim Rowley scored her 1,000th point as a junior.
Post - Senior Tadj Williams scored her 1,000th collegiate point in Post's only game of last week against Philadelphia University. The Eagles fell, 84-68, despite having four scoreres in double digits. Williams, who scored her 1,000th point at the 15:27 mark of the second half with a lay-up, had 14 points and 11 rebounds. LaToya Coley also had 14 points with four three-pointers. Telisha Moultrie chipped in with 12 points and Marjorie Prado added 11 points. Stephanie Goss had six points and 10 rebounds. Post closes out its three game road swing in the Keystone State on Thursday at Mansfield.
