FELICIAN ASSISTANT AD KWIATKOWSKI NAMED HEAD SOFTBALL COACH

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Lori Kwiatkowski of Westwood has been named the head softball coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.
Kwiatkowski has served as the assistant director of athletics for compliance at Felician for the last three years, and has been the athletic department’s senior woman administrator for the last two. An assistant softball coach for the Golden Falcons in 2008, she becomes the fourth head coach in program history.
Kwiatkowski came to Felician after two years as the head softball coach and an instructor of exercise & sports sciences at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. She guided the Cougars to a 41-45 record and coached eight NFCA Scholar Athletes and one All-American. Prior to joining APU, she was a graduate assistant women’s basketball and softball coach and academic advisor at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham.
Kwiatkowski was a four-year starter in softball at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. Her teams reached the NAIA national tournament twice, including a national finals appearance in her senior season. She earned a BA in psychology from Point Loma in 2002 and a teaching certification from Felician in 2010. She is a native of Allendale, N.J.
Kwiatkowski replaces Rick Krasny, who served one season.
Felician, an NCAA Division II member, plays in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Golden Falcons are coming off a 15-28 won-lost record in 2010 and tie for 11th place in the CACC.
