FELICIAN HIRES KRASNY AS SOFTBALL COACH

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Rick Krasny of Warwick, N.Y., has been named the head softball coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today. Krasny becomes the third coach in program history.

Krasny returns to collegiate coaching following a two-year layoff. He was the head coach at Dominican (N.Y.) College, like Felician a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, from 2001 to 2007. Krasny won two CACC Coach-of-the-Year Awards with the Chargers, and in 2006, guided them to a 37-19 record and a runner-up finish in the CACC Tournament. He posted an overall record of 124-131-2 in six years with Dominican.

Prior to Dominican, Krasny was an assistant coach at Division-I Iona College for two seasons. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pace University 1979, and is a sales manager for Garden State Brickface in Roselle. At Felician, he replaces Kathy Hill, who resigned after eight years.
