GRASSO NAMED HEAD SOFTBALL COACH AT GOLDEY-BEACOM

WILMINGTON, DE - Goldey-Beacom College Director of Athletics Chris Morgan has named Jerry Grasso as Head Softball Coach. Grasso returns to Goldey-Beacom after being away for five years. At Goldey-Beacom, Grasso had a 46-24 record in two years of coaching. He led the Lightning to two 3rd Round NAIA North East Regional Independent Tournament appearances.

"We are very fortunate to have Coach Grasso return to the College. He is a tremendous person and quality softball coach who will be an outstanding role model for our student-athletes," stated Morgan.

"I am excited about the opportunity to return to Goldey-Beacom College as the Head Softball Coach. Chris Morgan has done a tremendous job getting the athletic department off the ground. I'm lucky that I'll be working alongside of his staff which is made up of excellent professionals who have a strong vision for combining education and athletics. The entire softball coaching staff and returning players are eager to begin. They are ready to raise the bar of excellence and ready to take on a tough challenge ahead of them," Grasso stated.

Grasso received his bachelor's degree from Greenville College in Illinois and a Masters from Wilmington College. Grasso is currently a school counselor at Pennsville Memorial High School, and resides in Wilmington with his wife Judy, daughter Casey and son Pete.
