GEORGIAN COURT TO HOST FIRST ANNUAL "GO TO BAT FOR BREAST CANCER" SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

Lakewood, NJ- The first annual Georgian Court University "Go to Bat for Breast Cancer" Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April, 6th at GCU's Lakewood, New Jersey campus.

The goal of this tournament, which will include five teams (GCU, New York Institute of Technology, University of Bridgeport, UMASS-Lowell, and Dowling College), is to raise awareness and support women in their fight against breast cancer. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Georgian Court University is currently seeking breast cancer survivors to participate in the opening ceremonies of the tournament, which will take place on April 5th at 9:00 a.m. Please contact GCU Head Coach, Jeff Franquet, directly at 732-987-2697 or franquetj@georgian.edu if you or someone you know is a breast cancer survivor and would like to participate.
